What is SMART SENTRY and How Does It WORK?
SMART SENTRY is a compact locator device that gets attached to high-value cargo – be it on the ground or in the air. Once in transit, the device transmits real-time tracking data via global cellular networks to a 24/7 central monitoring location staffed by a DHL Same Day team. In addition, clients can track shipments via an easy-to-use Web portal.
SMART SENTRY monitors the following shipping conditions in real-time: Location, Ambient Temperature, Pressure, Motion, Vibration, Speed, Shock, and Light.
Should a shipment become compromised in any way, an alert is immediately sent out, and DHL Same Day is able to deploy rapid response services and proactively intervene.
